*Jockey David Gall who rode at Fairmount Park from 1959 to 1999 was one of the greatest race riders in the United States. *David won the leading jockey award 14 times at Fairmount. *He was one of a hand full of jockeys to ever win 7 or more races in one day anywhere in the country. *On August 27th, 1966 he was one of three jockeys who finished in the only triple dead heat for the win ever at Fairmount. *David raced in 41,709 races in his career and was the "United States Champion" race rider in 1979 & 1981. *He retired from racing on September 18th, 1999 with a winning record of 7,396 wins. *He was inducted into the Canadian Racing Hall Of Fame in 1993 and on November 14, 2012 was inducted into the St.Louis Sports Hall Of Fame.
